DDTC Indonesian Tax Manual 2024 Now in Two London Libraries

In the foreseeable future, the book penned by the Founder of DDTC Darussalam and Danny Septriadi together with DDTC professionals, David Hamzah Damian, Romi Irawan, B. Bawono Kristiaji and Atika Ritmelina M, will be accessible through the library online catalogues of these two colleges.

The handover of DDTC’s latest book was carried out in person by DDTC Consulting Managing Partner David Hamzah Damian, who presented the book to the librarian of the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and King's College London.

In addition to the book handover, David’s visit to London also included attending the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Tax Awards 2024, a prestigious award conferred by the International Tax Review (ITR) to DDTC. The ITR APAC Tax Awards 2024 was held at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Tower Bridge London, UK on Wednesday (18/9/2024).

Following the awards event, David took the liberty to visit the libraries managed by LSE and King's College London, where he was cordially welcome by the librarians.

The addition of the English version of the Indonesian Tax Manual 2024 book to the libraries under the auspices of the world's top universities, added David, marks a notable milestone for DDTC. This achievement allows academics and tax researchers currently studying at LSE and King's College London to use the book authored by DDTC professionals as a valuable research resource.

Heather Dawson, the librarian on duty at LSE, expressed her appreciation for DDTC's goodwill in sharing its latest publication. She noted that the book would enrich the LSE’s relatively limited collection on Indonesian tax issues.

“We are pleased to receive this English publication from DDTC. I shall ensure that this book is added to our (LSE) catalogue,” Dawson said.

A similar sentiment was shared by John Wilby, a staff librarian at King's College London. He expressed his gratitude to DDTC for donating the book as an investment in knowledge. This book will provide academics and researchers with more resources to delve deeper into the tax landscape in Southeast Asia, in particular, Indonesia.

“We are delighted to accept this book donation,” said Wilby.

After handing over the books to the two libraries, David set aside time to meet with several LPDP scholarship recipients currently pursuing master’s degrees at LSE and King's College London. The discussion was both casual and insightful, comprising a wide range of topics, including updates on the latest tax regulations, which are also reviewed in the DDTC Indonesian Tax Manual 2024.

Beyond the two London libraries, DDTC also plans to distribute its latest publication to a number of libraries managed by world-renowned campuses located in Austria, the Netherlands, Belgium, Singapore, Malaysia and India.

On a related note, the book DDTC Indonesian Tax Manual 2024 was released to coincide with DDTC's 17th Anniversary. The 25th and 26th book publication by DDTC embodies the spirit of victory of the Asia-Pacific Pro Bono Firm of the Year Award from the International Tax Review (ITR), London, in 2022 and 2024.

To date, DDTC ITM is available in English. The Indonesian version of DDTC ITM has now been introduced to strengthen tax literacy and education in Indonesia, including prospective taxpayers.

Moreover, DDTC ITM is compiled to facilitate a better understanding of Indonesia’s statutory tax provisions. DDTC ITM is expected to serve as practical guidelines for navigating the dynamics and complexities of existing regulations.

DDTC ITM 2024 elaborates on a wide array of taxation aspects, spanning regional, national and international levels. The topics include general provisions and tax procedures (GPTP), income tax, Value Added Tax (VAT) and Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (STLGs).

The book also incorporates topics of international taxation, transfer pricing, customs and excise, fiscal incentives, stamp duty, local taxes, carbon tax and the latest developments in the tax sector.
